I am a seasoned dog care professional with a deep passion for animals and more than 15 years of hands-on experience with dogs, including over 5 years of professional dog care. Throughout that time, I have developed extensive experience in doggy daycare, boarding, drop-in care, walking, running, adventures, and overall pack management.

My background is a little different from most people in the dog care industry. I earned my degree in Criminal Justice from Metropolitan State University of Denver, where I was also a collegiate soccer scholarship athlete. Following college, I spent five years working in law enforcement, an experience that strengthened my commitment to responsibility, safety, attention to detail, and remaining calm and capable in challenging situations.

Before establishing my own LLC and growing Mac’s Pack, I gained valuable experience working with well-known companies in the pet care industry, including Rover, Wag, Denver Dog Joggers, and Bark Busters. Each of those experiences helped shape the philosophy behind Mac’s Pack: dogs deserve more than simply being housed and supervised. They deserve an environment where they are comfortable, engaged, cared for, and treated as part of a pack.

That philosophy is also what inspired my husband and me to build Mac’s Pack together. My husband also had a career in law enforcement before ultimately making the decision to leave the profession and join me in pursuing my lifelong passion for dogs. What began as my love for caring for dogs grew into something much bigger for both of us. Together, we have been able to expand Mac’s Pack and open additional facilities, allowing us to provide our style of care to even more dogs and their families.

Our shared law enforcement backgrounds have had a significant influence on how we operate our facilities. Safety, accountability, observation, communication, and responsibility are incredibly important to us. At the same time, we wanted to create something that felt completely different from a traditional kennel environment. Our goal has always been to provide a comfortable, home-like atmosphere where dogs can socialize, play, build relationships, and truly become part of our pack rather than simply being confined or left alone.

For additional peace of mind, I am fully insured and take the responsibility of caring for someone else’s beloved companion extremely seriously. When a dog joins Mac’s Pack, we want their owners to feel confident that they are being cared for by experienced professionals who genuinely love what they do.

I also remain committed to my own physical fitness, which allows me to keep up with the demands of managing active groups of dogs and providing hands-on care throughout daycare, boarding, adventures, and other activities.

Mac’s Pack has become much more than a business for my husband and me. It represents a major career and life change for both of us and something we have built around our shared values, experience, and genuine love for dogs. We are incredibly proud of the facilities and pack we have created and excited to continue growing while maintaining the personal, attentive care that started it all.
